Exhaust fans in the end wall take warm, stale and humid air out. Wall or drum fans inside keep air moving over plants and animals. Most greenhouses and sheds need both.

Our 26 and 30 in mist fans stand on a water tank with wheels and ship SKD. They cool well in the right building and add unwanted moisture in the wrong one.

Farm buildings are harder on fans than offices or homes. A few simple habits keep them running through the season.
CLEAN
Clean grilles and blades
Dust, feathers and moisture build up on grilles, blades and motors. Clean them regularly and check every fan before the hot season.
DRY
Keep motors dry
Keep motors out of direct water spray, and do not hose fans down when washing the building.
HIGH
Mount high, fix cables
Mount wall and exhaust fans high, and fix power cables away from animals and wet floors.
MOTOR

Which fans are best for a greenhouse?
Use wall fans on posts or orbit fans on roof beams to keep air circulating around the plants, and exhaust fans in the end walls to take warm, humid air out. Most greenhouses need both.
What fans can be used in a barn or poultry house?
Wall fans and exhaust fans fixed high on the walls, out of reach of the animals. In open areas of barns, drum fans on wheels move a large volume of air.
Do you make large tunnel ventilation fans or cooling pads?
No. We supply exhaust fans from 8 to 24 in and circulation fans from 16 to 30 in. Tunnel ventilation for large poultry or livestock houses needs dedicated agricultural ventilation fans and a ventilation design.
Can your fans be used in humid or dusty buildings?
Yes, with regular cleaning and with motors kept out of direct water spray. Tell us the conditions in your building and we confirm the fan configuration before the order.
Are mist fans suitable for greenhouses?
Not for greenhouses that are already humid, because mist adds moisture. Mist fans work best in hot, dry weather and in open-sided or well-ventilated sheds.
How many fans do I need?
