SKD / CKD Electric Fan Kits for Local Assembly
SF Fan supplies semi knocked down (SKD) and completely knocked down (CKD) electric fan kits for importers and factories that assemble in their own market. Ship more fans per container, reduce your tariff burden and transportation costs, and finish assembly locally with parts lists, labels and spare parts planned by model.

What an SF Fan kit order includes
- Supply format: fully assembled, SKD or CKD
- Packing plan: parts grouped by carton for dense loading
- Parts list: detailed packing list checked before loading
- Spare parts: 0.5% extra parts with every order
- Remote guidance: support for your local assembly team
- 3 Formats Fully assembled, SKD or CKD
- ~2.5× More fans per 40HQ with CKD (illustrative example)
- 0.5% Extra spare parts with every order
- ~30 Days Lead time after packaging is confirmed
CBU vs SKD vs CKD: Which Supply Format Fits You?
We support fully assembled, SKD and CKD electric fan orders together with packing data and standard export documentation. The right format depends on how much assembly work your team can take on in your market.

CBU (Fully Assembled)
Finished fans in retail boxes, ready to sell the day they arrive.
- No assembly line needed
- Best for retail and distribution
- Lowest units per container

SKD (Semi Knocked Down)
Selected assemblies stay together, such as the assembled motor head, base and nested guards.
- Limited final assembly in your market
- Good first step into local assembly
- More units per container than CBU

CKD (Completely Knocked Down)
Screws, wires and plastic parts packed separately, motors packed densely, blades stacked and guards pressed flat.
- Complete local assembly and QC
- Highest units per container
- Suits buyers with an assembly line
| Compare | CBU | SKD | CKD |
|---|---|---|---|
| On arrival | Finished fan in retail box | 3–4 large assemblies per fan | Individual parts and components |
| Work in your market | None | Limited final assembly | Full assembly and quality control |
| Container density | Standard | Higher | Highest |
| Best for | Retailers and distributors | Importers starting local assembly | Importers with their own assembly line |

Illustrative example: a 40HQ holds roughly 2,100 fully assembled fans or about 5,200 CKD kits. Actual loading depends on the model and packing method.
Why Importers Choose SKD or CKD
Clients who can assemble locally use knocked-down kits to reduce their tariff burden and transportation costs.
Lower Freight per Unit
Flat, stackable parts fit about 2.5 times more fans per container, so ocean freight per unit drops sharply.
Different Import Classification
Some buyers select SKD or CKD because their market may classify these formats differently from a complete built unit. Please confirm duty rates with your local customs broker.
“Assembled in Your Country”
Local assembly can allow your fans to be presented as assembled in your country, and builds your own production capability.
Markets We Supply in SKD / CKD
We often receive CKD inquiries from importers and assembly plants in these markets. Each order is packed and documented for local assembly at the destination.

View rangeHow We Pack SKD Kits
Parts are grouped by carton so the container is used as fully as possible. We agree the packing plan with you before production.

High-Quality SKD
- 1 motor per carton
- 2 grille + blade sets per carton
- 5 rods per carton
- 1 base per carton
Best for: separated parts and reinforced base protection
Economy SKD
- 2 motors per carton
- 2 grille + blade sets per carton
- 10 rods per carton
- Bases grouped separately
Best for: higher packing efficiency with local assembly
Parts Lists, Counting and Spare Parts
A missing screw can stop an assembly line. Parts, labels and spares are planned by model, and every kit is checked before the container is closed.
- 01 Trial assembly
Each part is assembled once according to the process flow to confirm the kit is complete.
- 02 Parts inspection
Components are checked against our production acceptance criteria.
- 03 Detailed packing list
Every order ships with a packing list your team can count against.
- 04 Small items counted first
Small parts are counted before loading so nothing goes missing.
- 05 Large items loaded last
Bulky parts go in last for easier and more accurate counting.

Extra Spare Parts with Every Order
We add 0.5% extra spare parts to each order. If a problem cannot be solved with spare parts, we offer a direct free replacement of the motor.
What You Need for Local Assembly
Workers handle one task each in sequence. SKD needs fewer steps than CKD, which makes it a good starting point if this is your first assembly line.

SKD / CKD Questions
Quick answers for importers planning local assembly. More questions are answered on our FAQ page

What is the difference between SKD and CKD fans?
SKD (semi knocked down) fans ship as a few large assemblies, such as the assembled motor head, base and guards, and need limited final assembly. CKD (completely knocked down) fans ship as individual parts and need a complete local assembly and quality-control process.
How many more fans fit in a container with CKD?
As an illustrative example, a 40HQ holds roughly 2,100 fully assembled fans or about 5,200 CKD kits, around 2.5 times more. Actual quantities depend on the model and packing method, and we confirm them before production.
Which countries usually import fans in CKD?
The main markets importing fans in CKD include Indonesia, Brazil, Egypt and Algeria.
Do you send spare parts with SKD / CKD orders?
Yes. We add 0.5% extra spare parts to each order. If a problem cannot be solved with spare parts, we offer a direct free replacement of the motor.
Can I sell SKD fans one by one in retail?
Standard SKD cartons hold parts for several fans, so single sets cannot be boxed separately. For retail we can pack one complete set per carton, though volume is about double and the master carton costs 2–3 times more.
