The Problem

Why Factories and Warehouses Need More Than One Kind of Fan

Heat, still air and fumes show up in different parts of the same building. Each one is solved by a different kind of fan.

Heat

Heat from roofs and machines

People at workstations need air moving directly across them. Stand fans, wall fans and floor fans aim the airflow where people work.

Air

Hot, still air in tall, open buildings

Large floors and storage aisles need air moved over a wide area. Drum fans on wheels push a large volume of air and move to where they are needed.

Out

Stale air, fumes, dust and moisture

Moving air around is not enough when it needs to leave the building. Exhaust fans mounted in walls or openings take it out.

Choose by Zone

Match the Fan to Each Work Zone

Start with two questions: where can the fan go, and how big is the area? Bigger fans suit wider areas, and smaller fans work close to each worker.

Industrial floor fan with metal grille for workstation cooling

Workstations & production lines

Metal-blade stand fans, floor fans

18 / 20 in stand fans · 12–20 in floor fans

Adjustable height and tilt put the airflow on each worker without fixed installation.

Industrial floor fans
20, 26 and 30 inch industrial stand fans

Larger work areas

Industrial stand fans

20 / 26 / 30 in · cross, tripod or round base

Bigger fans on a heavy base cover a wider zone and can be moved as the layout changes.

Industrial stand fans
Industrial wall-mounted fan with metal grille and blades

Walls and columns where floor space is tight

Industrial wall fans

18 / 20 / 26 / 30 in

Wall-mounted fans keep aisles and work areas clear while positioning airflow above people and equipment.

Industrial wall fans
Industrial drum fan on caster wheels

Large open floors & storage aisles

Drum fans on wheels

24 / 30 in

A large volume of air from a mobile frame, for wide floors, aisles and packing areas.

Industrial drum fans

Workshops with ceilings for mounting

Orbit fans

16 / 18 in

Ceiling-mounted fans rotate 360° to spread air over the whole space and keep the floor free.

Orbit fans
Square-frame industrial exhaust fan for workshop ventilation

Air exchange: heat, fumes, moisture

Industrial exhaust fans, portable blowers

8–24 in exhaust fans · 8–16 in blowers

Square metal-frame exhaust fans take hot and stale air out. Portable blowers handle temporary ventilation.

Industrial exhaust fans
SF Fan pedestal misting fan with water tank

Hot, dry, semi-open work areas

Mist fans with water tank

26 / 30 in · tank on wheels

A fine water mist adds evaporative cooling where the air is dry and well ventilated.

Industrial mist fans

Not sure which fans fit your building?

Send us the building size and where fans can be mounted. We will suggest the fan types, sizes and quantities from our range.

Ask Which Fans Fit
Mist fans: mist cooling works best in dry, well-ventilated areas. Keep the mist away from electrical panels and goods that must stay dry.
Airflow Plan

Circulation Fans and Exhaust Fans Work Together

Exhaust fans take hot air and fumes out of the building. Circulation fans move air across people and equipment. Most factories and warehouses need both.

  1. Fresh air comes in

Through doors, windows or wall openings on the cooler side of the building.

  2. Circulation fans move it across people

Stand, wall, floor and drum fans keep air moving through work areas.

  3. Exhaust fans take hot air out

Wall-mounted exhaust fans remove heat, fumes, dust and moisture.

For large or enclosed buildings, have the final ventilation plan confirmed by a qualified ventilation engineer. We supply the fans to match it.

FAQ

Factory & Warehouse Fan Questions

Short answers for buyers choosing fans for work sites. More questions are answered on our FAQ page

Industrial wall fan for factories and warehouses
What type of fan is best for a warehouse?

Most warehouses use a mix. Drum fans on wheels move air across large floors and aisles, stand or wall fans cool fixed workstations and packing areas, and exhaust fans in the walls take hot air out.

Do I need exhaust fans or circulation fans?

Usually both. Exhaust fans remove hot air, fumes and moisture from the building. Circulation fans move air across people and equipment.

How many fans do I need for my factory or warehouse?

It depends on the building size, ceiling height, number of workstations and where fans can be mounted. Send us these details and we will recommend fan types, sizes and quantities.

What is the difference between industrial and household fans?

Our industrial and household fans use the same motor technology and assembly lines. Industrial models are larger, with metal blades and grilles and heavier bases.

Can mist fans be used indoors in a workshop?

Yes, in dry and well-ventilated areas. Keep the mist away from electrical panels and goods that must stay dry. We confirm the setup for each project.

Do your industrial fans work on 110 V / 60 Hz?

Yes. Voltage options are 110, 127 and 220–240 V at 50 or 60 Hz, confirmed by model, with plugs matched to your market.
